Brief Description
The Government of Indonesia (GoI) has strengthened the implementation of the Right to Deletion of Content, first established under Presidential Regulation No. 71/2019. This provision empowers individuals to request the removal of harmful or unlawful content from online platforms. Victims of technology-facilitated violence, including cyberbullying, non-consensual sharing of intimate images (revenge porn), and online harassment, can exercise this right to have offensive or damaging content promptly deleted, thereby enhancing protection in digital spaces.
